Surfers In The Military
This page is dedicated to military personnel stationed around the world.  Some are in combat and
some are not but they are all protecting us from the forces that would take away our freedom.  This
page is a salute to their skill and bravery.  Mostly it is a heartfelt thanks to the men and women that
have left their homes and families to make sure we can enjoy the freedom we often take for granted.
Capt. Matt gave up his surfboard in the States for the controls of a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter in Iraq.
He sent these shots of his crew after a mission over Baghdad.  Its 110 degrees and will soon get to 120.
There is lots of sand but not much surf on the Tigris river.  Right now Matt has to be content planning
for the wood longboard he will build when his 15 month tour is over.
GIs everywhere, send me your pics for this page.  You don't
have to be in a combat zone.  Show us the board you are
building - or plan to build.  Or maybe a shot of you surfing the
bow wave of a carrier.  Or how about skiing behind a High
Endurence Cutter?  Or how about just chilling at the club?  I'll
post whatever you send.

What the heck, its worth a try.......
